OBJECT (SOFT TISSUE)

The sculpture takes the form of an expanding organic structure, whose rounded edges and irregular branches evoke associations with tissues, cells, and processes of biological growth. Without a clearly identifiable natural counterpart, it resembles a fragment of an unknown organism captured in a moment of transformation.
Created from industrial steel sheet using CNC cutting technology, the work explores the contrast between mechanical precision and the apparent softness and fluidity of biological forms. A material traditionally associated with rigidity, strength, and permanence adopts shapes suggesting flexibility, vulnerability, and continuous change.
The sculpture develops an interest in biomimicry, investigating the ways in which biological structures and processes can inform artificial forms. Rather than directly reproducing nature, it draws on its visual language to create an ambiguous structure situated between the organic and the technological.
*Object (Soft Tissue)* questions the boundaries between natural and artificial, softness and hardness, fragility and resilience. By giving steel the appearance of living tissue, the work challenges our assumptions about material properties and the relationship between external appearance and internal strength.
